1. Introduction

Mimora is designed with a strong commitment to your privacy. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal content (photos, stories, notes, or reef data) on any developer-operated servers. Your data remains under your control, stored locally on your device.

2. Data Collection and Storage

Local Storage: All your personal content data, including all stories, notes, and the detailed Reef Dashboard data, is stored only on your device.
iCloud Synchronization: If the user enables it, content data is backed up and synchronized across the user's devices exclusively through their personal iCloud Account. This process is fully managed by Apple, and the data remains encrypted under Apple's security protocols. We do not have access to this iCloud data.

B. Usage Data

We may use anonymous analytics (such as Apple's standard built-in usage analytics, if enabled by the user) to understand general app stability and usage patterns (e.g., app launches, crashes). This data is aggregated, anonymized, and does not include any of your personal content.

3. Network Access and Data Transmission

A. Strict Local Data Policy

Mimora is fundamentally an offline-first application. We do not establish any connections to the public internet to transmit or store user content data. Your personal notes and media never leave your device or your iCloud Account.

B. Local Area Network (LAN) Usage

Mimora utilizes Local Area Network (LAN) access for the sole purpose of:

Reef Data Source: If the user manually chooses to connect the app to a specific local device or API on their home network to retrieve data for the Reef Dashboard (e.g., local aquarium monitoring system).
Data Purpose: This LAN access is user-initiated and local-only. The data retrieved stays within the app and on the local device/network.
No Internet Transmission: This LAN data is not transmitted to the public internet or any external servers operated by the developer or third parties.
